I have a little more information about where Powder came from. My husband filled in the few details he has.
The breeder in New Jersey had a large black male, a white female, and a few others. They lived in a resendital area, and we went past an amusement park just off the interstate on our way to pick Powder up. My husband, then living in Maine, saw an ad in Uncle Henry's (a classified magazine from Maine) for a white doberman puppy in southern Maine. He called the Maine number and the puppy had been sold, but a sister to the puppy was available to look at. There was one male puppy from the breeder in New Jersey still available. My husband went to look at the white doberman puppy in Maine who was not for sale. The people who had her were breeders of white boxers.
We bought the white doberman male puppy from the New Jersey breeder, but never registered the puppy, and lost the contact information. Powder has lived with us since then, and we lost him a little while ago to lymphoma.
We are trying to find the breeder in New Jersey to see if:
1) They are still breeding white dobermans and will have another litter sometime in the future with close bloodlines to our Powder.
2) If the New Jersey breeders are not breeding anymore, we would like to see if they could put us in contact with someone breeding their bloodlines. Powder was everything anyone could ever want in a dog, and we want to raise and love another puppy like him.
Do any of the breeders on this site recognize Powder's breeders? Is there any way to access the "Z" list to search by birthdate or location?
Thanks,
Janice
