Subject: Renaissance Faire in Maine July 26 &27

I am a member of the Milbridge Merchants Association and the Milbridge Celebrations committee. We are having our annual Milbridge Days Celebration July 26th and 27th and this year our theme is Medieval Times. We are having a Renaissance Faire and have contracted with Stephen at Autumn Tree Productions for 5 acts. He recommended that I place a note here. We are looking for vendors and Shire Groups to help us round out the Faire. For the Shire groups interested in coming we have an area where you can set-up and access to free showers and camping. For the vendors there will be water and electricity available if needed. We are expecting 6000 to 10000 people and if this goes as well as we hope plan on making it an annual event. One quick question... Is it a Rennaissance Faire or a Medevil faire? Both are different time periods seperated by a couple hundred years or so, thus having the right kind of garb is essential to those of us who pay attention to that sort of thing.. LOL

I must admit that I didn't realize there was a difference. Guess I need to be educated!! :) Since we are calling it a Renaissance Faire I guess that is the time frame we are looking at, but to be truthful I doubt the local folks (like me) would realize the difference. Thank you
