Hi folks. Just wanted to wrap up what I knew as the Maine events this summer for ya'
July 26 - 27, Milbridge Days Renaissance weekend
Milbridge, Maine - check your Internet maps, it's a haul, but it's a beautiful town. A truly lovely place to be.
August 2, 3rd, Treasure Equestrian Center calling itself the Maine Renaissance Faire, but AFAIK, there's no association with old owners and this event. It's a different site. Easy as heck to get to off of I-95, in a beautiful large indoor barn if it rains, but also the top of a hill overlooking Augusta and the surrounding area. If oyu're not headed to Pennsic, consider coming to this one.
August 23rd, 24th, Downeast Pirate Days, Rockland Maine. Another wonderful location, albeit full of tourists all summer. http://www.downeastpiratedays.org/ Pirate Days is becoming a well loved local event and might draw even you in if you've got your new pirate hat or navy coat to try out in public. Being August, you think it would be really hot, but it's not so bad on the coast. It really does take a lot of the heat away.
AFAIK, that's what we've got going up here in Maine this year.
