I just heard from Fred Frabotta that Dennis Wrenn died suddenly while leading a student trip to Greece. For those of you who don't know, Dennis was the music director of the scenario at KRF for the last few years. He will be sorely missed.

That really is sad news...he was a great guy with a great sense of humor. And as a music educator, he touched a great many young people's lives.
Adieu, my friend.

I've been out of touch for the past week and just saw the news. I know everyone who ever met Dennis will miss him. I'll especially miss him backstage at the Opening Gate, where he would trumpet in the cast.
He was a sweet man and a good soul.
I hope God appreciates his company in heaven.

I had seen this on the local news station the other night and I feared it might be him. I'm so sad to have that confirmed. He seemed quiet, but was always nice to me. I'll miss him.

[> In Memoriam... Dennis Wrenn, KRF Scenario Music Director -- CJ, 14:40:07 02/23/09 Mon

For those who knew him or knew of him, they have released an obituary, although they have not listed an actual visitation or funeral date.
You can find it at the link below, or by going to www. brittonfuneralhomes. com and looking under his name.

For those of you on Facebook, they have also set up a memorial page - if you know my facebook page, just check there - I have the link set into my mood statement. I have checked it, and it goes directly to the page.

This is truly sad news, he was the kindest of souls,
and the first hello I would receive every mourning before
gate. he truly will be missed.

He was a sweet and funny man who I teased about his fanfares at Opening gate. The obvious goofball comment would be something about "...those Pearly Gates...trumpet blow...Gabriel somethin', somethin'...". Perhaps respectful quiet is more in order...

pleasant journeys.
Artie
