Subject: Update on Nicholas

Thanks again to everyone who has expressed support for Nicholas after part of his lip was bitten off about a month ago.
A lot of people have asked how he's doing, and I wanted to wait until we met with a plastic surgeon yesterday.
The surgeon was amazed at how well Nicholas' lip was healing. He wants to wait another 9 months until everything has settled down, but he thinks all he'll need to do is a minor operation to remove scar tissue and he should look as good as new.
The best news as far as Nicholas is concerned is that he can do sports again.
He's still traumatized by the incident and he's got some emotional issues that we'll deal with, but for the most part he's still doing well.

So glad to hear he's doing well physically. The emotional stuff may take awhile but with your support he'll get through it.
