I have a drop leaf table - well not quite.I have the hinges in place but require the support to hold the leaf open. I used a drop leaf support and put the small arm on the leaf and the large arm against the table (like the instructions suggested). My problem arises when I try to close down the leaf. The leaf will not come flush with the side of the table - it sticks out on an angle. When open it is great, but I can't close it all the way. What can I do. I only have a 3/4" (if that) overhang. I am already using the smallest support I could find.
