Subject: 8" Yates American 3-phase Jointer $140

I recently bought an 8" Yates American jointer for $140 and will pass it on for the same. It is in poor shape, but I believe it could be put into working condition without too much difficulty. It is powered by a three phase 220v 1 h. motor that appears to be connected directly to the cutterhead. I have no three phase, so cannot even tell if the motor works, but it does spin freely. It is not clear to me whether the motor could be switched out. The blade guard and bracket are missing. The tables are rusty and the fence is rusty and pitted. The cast steel banjo that adjusts the fence position has been broken at both ends, repaired, and broken again on one end. it works as is, but needs welding. If interested, call Jeff at (713) 894-1633.
