Subject: drill press parts

Hi all. Just acquired a very old Delta 15-665 drill press. It is in fair shape, but needs a new power switch and will need new wiring. Right now there is just a hole where the switch used to be, and wire ends with chewed up insulation. I can easily replace the wires, but does it matter what switch? I googled a switch and found some for 50-60 dollars, but that seems silly. Any suggestions?
