Subject: workbench design

Hi all. I plan to build my new workbench in a few weeks when the water oak Bill Lindsey, Jeff Larsen and I milled a week ago. I wondered if you had recommendations on benchtop thickness? I am mostly thinking 3" or 4" thick. I will most likely make it by laminating together 2"x3" versus 2" x 4" boards. Since I have plenty of wood drying, cost difference is not a factor. (note that all these measurements are planned actual size.)
