This is 3 inch sander, correct? With the sander unplugged with both hand in the sanding possition, push down on the front wheel. The front wheel will move backwards about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Remove the old belt. Put the new belt on making sure you have the belt traveling in the correct direction. Yes, some belt have a direction of travel. Look for the arrows on the inside of the belt.

With a flat head screw driver, place it between the front wheel and the center housing (between the front and rear wheel) and press forward. The front wheel should snap back into place. Now with safety glasses on, plug in the sander and power it up. Use the knob on the opposite side to adjust the belt from left to right.

The other option is to read the manual. :-)
