Subject: Have greasy OAK kitchen cabinets. When new, used Watco Oil

Have beautiful oak kitchen cabinets that were custom built 25 years ago. Finished with Watco Oil. How to remove grease from cabinets? Have used water-based kitchen cleaners. They clean but "bleach" and ruin grain of wood. Have used Murphey's and also an orange ckeaner, but don't like them. Read Lon's article about finishing with Watco oil, but I need to first CLEAN the wood. Have searched the internet, but this site is the first that I would trust. Should I use the Watco refinishing oil to clean the wood? Would like to clean them while doors are hung. Later would be willing to take doors off the wall and refinish them, but now want to clean and make them presentable. Thanks for any help offered. Adrienne
