Subject: Help alligning TS blade...

Hello. The guys from Rockler pointed me toward this resource.
Quick about me: Chris 34yo HFD Firefighter, nwe to woodworking and having a LOT of trouble setting up my saw...
Here is the problem: I have an aline it kit. If I put this on the back of the blade (90* angle) and zero the gauge, then move the blade up and down just fractionally(really only loading the gears each way) then I get about .014" of play!!! Where is this play comming from? Is the saw shot? It is a Grizzly 576 2hp contractors saw.

Anyway, I have been working on this for quite a while and I can't figure it out. I have read everything I can on the internet and cannot find the issue. Does anyone want to come over and take a look at this for me? I would even be happy to part with a little money if it would get someone over here to help!

You can reach me at (HFD Fyre Fytr@hotmail.com)(erase the spaces when you use this).

I would also love to get together with you guys and start sharing and learning.

Thanks,
Chris
