] Date Posted: 04:06:14 12/13/05 Tue In reply to: corruption 's message, "the winner should be ashamed of her self" on 03:56:17 12/13/05 Tue Fiona won because 1. she was the only one who looked good in the final 12 photos, thus winning Photogenic and getting her more points. 2. she could speak relatively good cantonese, which really helps if TVB is to send the winner to HK. 3. she was totally poised on the night (altho #8 & #9 were both good, the fact that they don't speak cantonese and their mandarin is accented hindered their performances. Plus the only award u can pay for is Miss Charity, and it was won by #7 Candy. So to all the ppl who are sore that their favorites or friends didn't win, we can't stop u from making negative comments but please stop making up stories. Date Posted: 04:40:35 12/13/05 Tue she did not deserve to win because 1- number 4 and 9 are way more photogenic than her. at least their picture didn't look like it was touched up 2- she made many mistakes in her cantonese. besides, she wasn't the only one who spoke cantonese 3- she cannot sing at all. the audience was shocked with her singing on the night. compare it to number 8's singing, hers was ridiculous. Besides, being a pop singer looks is more important, and Fiona has the cute warm look. Date Posted: 17:00:57 12/13/05 Tue questions were given to the girls before hand, so they had time to prepare. fiona dosent know how to speak cantonese she memorised her answers thus when it came to the top 5 answers she replied in mandarine. number 9 was born in australia and 8 also came at a very young age therefore i find its a reasonable excuse to not be fluent in mandarine. most of the judges also wanted number 5 to win but when money is involved, its another story. mandarine/cantonese can be taught having the beauty to draw attention is somthing i find number 12 will never have. |

And who can be certain she didn't "accidently" get any tips or the whole question while others don't, so she can be prepared? *Fiona, you got your crown and fame, but you don't win true victory. |
