This was Vector Research's Top-of-line receiver. They are out-of-business. A handful of these receivers were made. The last year's Norhteastern Coast black-out spiked the chip that governs the 5 function-on switches(AM/FM/MM/MC/AUX).Pressing any of these 5 switchs, turns on the unit. An IC governs it's function, but was wiped out by a AC Spike. The repairman can improvise IF the programming that governs the chip is known. Evidently the chip was proprietery in nature and obtaining information is not possible. I have original VR service repair manual for it but again finding the replacement or information is not possible. If anyone can answer the question or knows of another broken unit up-forsale, I would apprecieate the leads or help. Thank you.
