 I had the same problem here is what Polaroid said to do at their web site.

"To rotate the DVD screen display, hold down the MODE button while a DVD is playing and turn the picture right-side up.

I did it and mine flipped back the right way. Let me know if this works for you.This is my daughters DVD player and she thought she did something wrong to break it seems it must be some type of glitch.
