A Rose Without Petals

By: Feen (S. Wilhelmina Feenster)

She was taken away
It was so unfair
A blossoming young flower
With light brown hair.

All that's left is a stem
With memories scattered about
She was taken from him
Which caused a miserable drought.

Don't curse the heavens
For in heaven the flower was blessed
Blame the unmanly being in charge
Who created the entire mess.

He plucked the succulent flower
From it's strong and vigorous roots
Pulled out it's graceful, loving petals
And stomped them with his boots.

From that very earth she lived
He planted but a seed
Instead of beautiful flowers
Were a dozen ugly weeds.

I wrote this poem last night after finding one of my plastic flowers, that was just a stem. I thought of Gabrielle and Jenna, but leaned to write towards what had just happened to Gabby. It was wrong and an inspiration to do this. I hope you enjoy it:)
