Shawn,
The easiest way to letter wood is with a heat transfer.
1)Get your wood as smooth as you want by sanding.
2)On your computer print out your logo...picture...Bible verse or whatever you want to put on your call be sure to print it in reverse.
NOTE: You can use Microsoft Word to reverse the print or if it's an image you can use Adobe or Paintshop Pro.
3)Take what you just printed and have it photocopied...Darkest setting that doesn't blur
4)Place the photocopied print face down on the call and tape it in place.
5)Apply heat to the back of the paper (I use a transfer tip in a pencil soldering iron...but before my wife caught me I used to use her clothes iron)
7)Be sure to heat it very good and over all the area to be transfered...it takes more heat than you would imagine.
8)Slowly peel the paper off the call...you should have an image or lettering transfered.

Takes some practice, but once you master it the sky is the limit!
