 Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm making field quality calls I first drill them out with forstner bits. I move the wood blank through the drillpress with a machinists vice set to about 5 degrees. This will rough cut the chamber. Next I'll finish the inside of the chamber with a drum sander mounted in the same drillpress.

Now if I'm doing a collectible call, I usually hand carve the chamber using super sharp chisels and gouges. Then I finish it off with corner chisels and hand sanding. Then I coat the inside with CA and lightly sand again.
