Subject: cavia zwanger.. te oud???

hallo
mijn cavia is inmiddels 1 jaar en 1 maand en is zwanger.
ik heb gelezen dat cavia's van ouder dan 1 jaar eigenlijk niet meer zwanger mogen worden, omdat dan het bekken teveel naar elkaar toe groeit en dan de jonkies er niet meer door kunnen. ik vroeg me af of dit echt te oud is of dat het nog wel kan (deze week moet ze bevallen).
ze is echt heel dik (buikomtrek is 44 cm!)
en wat ik moet doen als het niet lukt,
kan de dierenarts er dan nog wat aan doen?
