TO THE ANTI-ISRAEL MANAGEMENT/OWNERS OF THE BODY SHOP

I was appalled to receive notice that The Body Shop is promoting a so-called "Human Rights" organization called The National Committee for the Defence of the Rights of the Internally Displaced that advocates a "right of return" for "Palestinian refugees".

This claim has become synonymous with the attempt to destroy Israel.

The survivors of the original 650,000 Arab "refugees" (who are refugees for Arab political purposes only) and their descendants are an Arab responsibility just as Israel was responsible for the 850,000 Jews summarily expelled from Arab countries.

Encouraging radical positions that deepen Mideast conflict is not the business of The Body Shop. The focus of your attention in the Israeli-Arab conflict should be on the victims of the PLO's horrendous terrorism. Have you even bothered to consider their rights? You are silent on that matter.

Simply put, The Body Shop has entered into the foray of Israeli-Arab politics on the side of the extreme, radically anti-Israel, PLO. This is an outrage.

What is most distressing is the contempt you have shown for your many loyal customers who are supporters of Israel. Over the last two years you have betrayed their trust, taking their money and giving it (a quarter of the $300,000 award) to those who hate Israel and want to destroy it.

I will not buy any of your products. In addition, I am in email contact with thousands of supporters of Israel who I will be encouraging to take the same action.

I expect you to withdraw the award you have given this organization and remove all reference to them from your website, publically dissociate yourselves from any and all radical PLO politics, donate substantial sums of money to the thousands of Israeli victims of PLO terrorism, and apologize worldwide to the millions of supporters of Israel you have offended by your actions.

FYI - The National Committee for the Defence of the Rights of the Internally Displaced (ADRID) states the following:

"As pan of the entire Arab-Palestinian people, we wish to declare:
• The refugee issue is the heart of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

• The Palestinian refugees' right to return to their homeland and homes is a sacred right whose implementation must be based on UN Resolution 194.

• We warn of the consequences of conspiracies against Palestinian refugee rights, whether conducted openly or

behind closed doors. We state with loud voice that there will he no just solution without a solution of-issue of the refugees and the internally displaced."

It is clear ADRID does not just speak for "the internally displaced".

ADRID was nominated for its award by BADIL an extremist organization that promotes PLO terrorism against Israel - see
