Subject: SWC & LA Times: Strange Bedfellows ...

My email to the Wiesenthal Center, theirs in reply and mine back to them which has not been answered:

To Whom It May Concern:

It has been brought to my attention that you have made the serious error of participating in a debate of sorts in the anti-Semitic/anti-Israel LA Times.

What were you thinking? ... or were you thinking at all? Surely you are aware of the ongoing boycott of the LA Times.

When they published this latest legitimization of terror, i.e. the Hamas Op-Ed on July 10th, the righteous thing to do was to join the boycott. You should have have just circulated your statement on the Internet and pointedly refused the LA Times the right to publish it - thus leaving the paper out there to stew in its own extremism and economic decline.

Instead, you have again become involved with the horrifically anti-Israel LA Times by placing yourselves on one side and Hamas on the other thereby bringing the LA Times in as 'mediators' ... which is akin to replying to a pro-Nazi editorial in a 1930's German newspaper and having the likes of Goering doing the mediating.

Worldwide anti-Semitism and the increasing demonization of Israel has gained a new friend in Simon Wiesenthal's name and I very much doubt he would be happy about it.

Please consider changing the name of your organization or, better yet, work on things that do not give aid and comfort to the enemies of Jews and Israel.

With all due respect, you completely missed my point.

One does not legitimate the illegitimate by rolling around in the gutter with them; please re-read my email and see if you are able to understand that your bid for publicity at any cost is counter-productive to your stated cause of being.

Another reason that you should re-read my email, this time with some comprehension involved, is you will see it is not my initiative but rather thousands of people have come together who understand that, basically, "when you lie down with dogs, you get fleas."

There is a time and place to engage in debate, however, the anti-Semitic anti-Israel LA Times is neither.
