Living In The Present

Time is a river that has no banks,
Forever it flows on and on,
No walls can contain it,
No dams can restrain it,
It's one that we travel upon.

Time is a giver that never gets thanks,
For the gift it bestows to the soul,
It just keeps on giving,
As long as we're living,
It's essence beyond our control

Time is a teacher to give us a chance,
To learn all the lessons of love,
Teaching us lessons,
Repeating sessions,
Until we embrace what's above.

Time is an artist of delicate dance,
It ticks by with relevant rhyme,
Minute by minute,
We find ourselves in it,
And sometimes it seems so sublime.

Time is a sovereign that rules our pace,
Perception can leave our heads spinning,
The past and the present,
With each new moment,
We can find there is a new beginning!
