Common Courtesy

For you, a question for those
who do not comment,
whether liking or a helpful critique
upon the Poet you just posted ABOVE.
Some of course, may not have the time
even for just one.

Working with limited resources
such as the local Libary,
where every second counts.
Or with an old Computer
where one counts themselves lucky
to be online at all.

But you, of some others, I do wonder
is it an attitude of I'm the best,
to me, this Poet below can't hold a candle?
Or does the poem contain a word
you don't understand it's too much effort
to check a dictionary and possibly learn,
you really might enjoy that Poet's work.
Even if THIS IS NOT SO, do you not think
that's the way it may appear?
How I sometimes yearn for common courtesy
of a Poet's message board.
"There go I, except for the grace of God"

An Art's Supporter

This piece
which I would greatly hesitate to call a real poem,
IS NOT meant to criticize any one Poet,
just an honest question and I certainly
do not mean to criticize
that there are no rules for posting that one
must comment; just hoping that some may see
that common courtesy does not need rules!
The only reason I hide my name is because
I ask no one specifically and I do not want
to seem to attack any fine poets
with this question
and many, many times, there are extenuating
circumstances. Neither do I want to seem to
be asking for anything, would just like to
see more Poet's commenting on the one they post above.
I also understand, some may be shy with
their critiques but your honestly may help the poet
if done in a tactful way. And I'm sure there
are reasons that have not been covered here.
Commenting can also keep a board artistically alive.
Just a curious question & I'll bet,
many can come up with a witty poem,
why they don't!
