Subject: Feeling Akward yet Happy

Whenever I am near you
I feel a little different
An awkward feeling hits me
Along with a happiness

Wanting to tell you what I feel
Words are unable to escape
My mind thinking one thing
My lips saying another

Longing for something more
But nervousness sets in
And I am frozen in time
Unable to express myself

Being by your side
Feels so sweet and right
Rejection scares me
Keeping me unable to speak

Unable to look you in the eyes
Afraid I may never look away
For I see beauty and happiness
Which I long to hold

The soft sound of your voice
Sings songs in my head
Birds singing in the early spring
The soft whisper of a clam sea
