Coming of age.
Growing.
The discovery serendipitous.
In a rain of sadness,
a walker
Slow and somber
perseveres the bitter cold
and the bite of heaven's tears.
Becoming always becoming.
Mornings glow and twilights flicker.
Life's sustaining breath,
itself a cruel and mocking partner,
walks beside through
dark and quiet years of
endless somber nights.
But then unknowing,
unsuspecting and unprepared,
acquiesence drawing forth
reaches the dying heart
born again from ashes.
A resurrection.
Life recreated softly
from the azure glow of
a new sunrise.
That shines from your eyes.
And now I know
that true happiness may be found
in your soothing words
and warm embraces.
I am yours.
