The Bow on the my M-40 follows the line of the boat - I rebuilt the whole thing a few years ago. I put in a larger sampson bit too. I don't have a wedge on in it? I'll look for more pics - if you want them.....

I have shetches of it if you would like to see them too.

Also, on the tension, I generally tighten until I hear a 'tone' but hitting the shroud with the blunt end of a screwdriver. They do make a device to test tension. Also, you could use a torque wrench to do an accurate measurment, I could 'dig' up the equations for that thread - I might be good info to know...

The wedge I was talking about goes under the bow sprit as it exits the bow. I hve about in inche or more space there that I could place a wedge. Someone told me once that it was needed.

I would like to see the math on the shroud tension.
