Subject: Mast compression frame

I was reading that someone had replaced their mast compression frames in here. I can not find it! If you have changed yours on a 40, would you email me? I am interested in locating a business that can remake mine.

I did a repair to the compression post on my Tayana Mariner 36. The cause of the problem was a rotted marine plywood spacer at the base of the compression post. I built a brace and jacked-up the compression post. Cleaned all the old stuff out and layed up a new epoxy fiberglass compression post base. On my Mariner, the compression post is teak and built into the framing of the head.

It is a post, but 2 frames that run from the hull all the way accross.
