Subject: folding prop

Has anyone installed a folding prop on their mariner? If so, how is the performance?

Mike,
I had considered installing a folding prop on our TM 36C.
However, the one I selected would NOT fit into the rudder apeture. So, we are happily continuing on with our solid, three blade brass(bronze) prop.

Best wishes,

Gene,
If you are ever interested in knowing what's under the thin fibergalss and foam on our Tayana Mariner rudders, just let me know - I did a total rebuild of mine without taking it off the hull. I think I even have some pictures lying around here somewhere.

So far, SANDPIPER's rudder is solid. However, I am happy to learn all I can about her.
Tell me what you can. If it is too much for this forum, please feel free to e-mail direct.

best wishes

Not enough aperture clearance for a folding prop. A feathering prop "might" work though. Max-Prop etc.
