Subject: Wheel for a M40

Hello
I just bought an M40. It is being brought down this coming week. The person I got the boat from told me that someone stole the wheel of the boat. Does anyone know where I might get a M40 wheel? Please let me know.
thanks

My worm gear--and I think it was standard issue--was made by Edson. Not sure if they also made the wheel on the original Mariner. They still make the assembly and wheels to match. Probably also made the gear for the 40.

Funny. I didn't even look at the prices. Maybe you chould ask for the senior discount ... i.e. our boats are senior citizens.

Mike,
There's a bunch of them on Ebay right now...
I was looking at a 24". Make sure its the right size. The wheel 'just' clears each side of the cockpit. You should be able to find one for about $50.
