Subject: Cabin Sides

Hi,
Question, I'm going to have to replace the cabin sides to my Mariner 40... I know some of you have used 1 inch ply for this but I'm having a problem finding marine ply in 1 inch thickness... The boat is in Oriental NC so I'm looking for a supplier close to there.It seems no one carries it... Any sugestions as to what to do for this?

Terry, I used 2 pieces of 1/2 ply. Worked great and made lap joints w/the router easier. By the way great site and

Thanks Mark, I thought of that but wondered how it would work. Did you glue the two pieces 1/2 inch with anything special?

I've always used WEST epoxy, (it was all I could find in the early days). My pics show the starboard side open. I used a router to lap a joint on the cabin side, then fit the two (epoxy encased) ply's and epoxy them together upon fastening.
