Subject: Spreader brackets

We have our masts down for refinishing and noticed a tear in one of out main spreader mounting brackets. Does anyone know of a place where we can get replacements (preferrably made out of beefier steel).

Certainly many of the bigger boat yards can also do fabrication work. But they're terribly expensive.

When faced with a similar same situation down here in SF, I called several of the smaller yards (yards that didn't have the facilities to do their own metal work) and asked who they used for their clients. That got me enough leads to find someone.

Good luck.

Thanks Randall. I found a machine shop that will have the brackets repaired by this weekend. The new halyards will be finished in the same time frame so Hibou should be back in the water by next Wednesday
