Hi Randall,

What kind of switch? I replaced my off/on/both switch with three on/off switches thus avoiding the common loss of current through the three-way switch.

The batt. cables may need attention, but it's very straight forward.

The batteries and cables are less than a year old, so they're not the problem (batts are well watered, cables corrosion free, except at the switch).

The switch is old and I've started to notice that I need to jiggle it a little in each of its positions before it's actually on (I test it on the lights before starting the engine, for example). I also notice that whereas battery one is fully charged, it can barely start the engine. So, I'm deducing its the switch.

I was just planning to replace w/another Off/1/2/Both switch. How else would I have the option of switching from the starting battery to Both in order to charge both?

Tell me more. I have very little sense when it comes to matters electrical.

RR

PS. Nice to see you back on the board. I found all the Iki emails (or most all), which warmed my heart. That was a fun time.
