Same issue here. One key, no source. My lock is original w/the boat, made by HORI of Tokyo. Nothing even remotely like that key on the west coast of the U.S. I'd recommend replacing the lock ...

I had a couple of keys made by a locksmith in Burbank CA a few years ago. He had the blanks and made the keys while I waited. They are NOT brass but work well.

He was on Burbank Blvd. near Hollywood Way.

I also found one source in honolulu who could get blanks and had about 5 keys made--not brass but they worked--they were a bit more fragile than the original. It is not only a japanese key but also not a modern one so it is very hit and miss. Still some locksmiths do have the blank so keep trying.
