Subject: ports

I need to replace all the ports on my 31ft. Mariner.Does anyone know of a place that carries the fixed ports? All companies I have contacted say they would have to be a special order, due to the unusual size.

Have you tried ABI? I believe their ports are identical to the old Grand Deere ports on my Mariner 36, but then again, mine was built by Ta Yang.

Randy, I replaced one of my ports on my Mariner 32. the stainless frames were in good shape but the port was leaking badly and the glass was fogged between the layers. I just took the old glass to an auto glass place (one that does vintage car stuff) and they made me a replacement from the same thickness safety glass. I used West Marine MultiCaulk Sealant (white), refastened the stainless frames (had to epoxy and redrill the screwholes in the cabin side) and it turned out great. No leaks and looks like the original. This caulk is not recommended for plastic (Lexan)however but fine for glass. I also recaulked my other ports from the outside (between glass and stainless).
Hope this helps...
