Thanks for the informatiion Gene. I wish my boat had a cable/chain system with pedistal but would cost way too much to convert over to that.

I will be building a pedistal, current wheel is in the box aft of the cockpit well.

I will probably adjust my rudder angle to something between 35 and 40 degrees. I might make it adjustable also.

The total angle is 95 degrees on the M40 (Trieste). I also put a hydraulic steering unit on my boat. I've been modifying it to accommodate a 'tiller indicator' gauge too, at least on the M40, maneuvering is always tricky - esp. in reverse. It's been very helpful, I recommend it. Gordon
