Hey Chuck,
One more question. Did you change your prop when you repowered? We have a 16" fixed 3-blade prop. I've been thinking about going with a feathering prop (MaxiProp)although I've heard people both raving about them(especially about their power in reverse)and others saying that they're overkill and a waste of money.

We are currently running a 17" and I believe it has a pitch of 8 or 9 to get the 3500 RPMs the engine must turn for Yanmar to warranty. Ours is 3 blade with the Mickey Mouse ears. We decided to save the money for cruising and not have another mechanical device to worry about repairing. Good luck
