My ports are bropnze. I replaced the non-opening port [port-side forward] with one I bought from New Found Metals. It doesn't match the other bronze ports exactly, but it is a good [bronze] port and the price was very reasonable. I would not hesitate purchasing from them again.

I wouldn't go with aluminium, since they can form intergranular corrosion beneath the lip. Check out the link for more info on the ports: http://www.newfoundmetals.com/rect.htm

The port lights on Kialua are bronze. Sailnet.com has a pretty good selection of bronse portlights at very good prices, and Defender and WestMarine can special order odd sizes. I certainly wouldn't use aluminum because of the corrosion problem. I have use Beckson portlights on an old Irwin I restored, and they do work well, and are less pricey, but no where near as nice and/or substantial.
