Subject: M 40 - fiberglass - Water & fuel tanks

Are water tanks (under cabin sole) and the fuel tank under the stbd settee integral (ie: directly onto inside of hull)?
Thanks

Michel, Sea Trek was built in Tayang's yard in 1978, shipped to the US and not commissioned till 1980. She is all fiberglass. The water tank is under the cabin sole in the main cabin and is stainless steal. It sits about 8 inches off the fiberglass bottom of the bilge. The fuel tank was Iron and mounted under the cockpit sole on wooden braces. We just removed and replaced the fuel tank since it was deteriorating from the inside. Went with heavy gage aluminum. not sure if this is the info you are looking for. I understand there were several construction methods used.
