Personally I have thought this for a while now.

Problem is everybody only thinks of the hit version of TBTD and of course for most fans the earlier version pales by comparison.

BUT, put the hit version out of your mind and play the Decca version AS LOUD AS YOU CAN.

Now, listen to the feel of the whole track and the instrumental break in particular, this is not rockabilly, this is pretty 'heavy' for 4 youngsters in 1956 !!!
