What a great question my friend and like Randy, I am so looking forward to reading your book.

In Australia the thrill of looking for that elusive record has reduced markedly. This is due to the advent of the Internet. Ebay has bought many new joys for a lot of people including me but it has also put the death knell on two major things for me:

The small second hand record shops are just about gone and buried. Where 15 years ago there were at least 10-20 in each major city here there are now probably two or three and they keep all their 'good' stuff for:

EBAY!

At the record fairs vinyl is becoming a scarce commodity as CDs and T Shirts take over this once wonderful avenue of exploratory bliss for vinyl. This is due to one factor:

EBAY!

I remember my friend Kenny Perkins and I flying over to the land of Sheep (New Zealand) and spending up to a month and many thousands of dollars on the joys of obtaining obscure Buddy Holly records there. No more, most of these shops are now closed and all the sellers are now on:

EBAY!

And at sometimes up to 10 times the price.

I have grasped the advantages of Ebay in both buying and selling but the thrill of the hunt is now just about dead!
