As a gigging performer myself, that Eton Road clip really was terrible.

However, I DO use backing tracks myself, a lot of the time, as I don't think the musician exists who could keep up with my repertoire. I.E. One minute Buddy, then Sam Cooke, then Cochran, etc. It would be very hard to achieve the desired sound.

Eton Road looked lost on that stage though.

That True Love Ways rendition was the WORST I have heard! A chipmunk with it's foot caught in a trap would not sound as bad. And to think that this was in a major theatre!

That is why I didn't bother going. A good chance of a great night of a tribute- wasted.
