Your questions won't all be answered by reading Bob Keane's autobiography, but I recommend his book anyway. "The Oracle of Del-Fi" was published in 2005 and I think it was the most interesting book I read that year. There is very little in this book that caused me any doubts. He doesn't seem at all defensive about anything and matter of factly details the wrong turns he took as a record label owner. The fact his three biggest artists all died horrible deaths is pretty hard for anybody to swallow. Bad news any way you look at it.
