I saw Waylon at the BHMS concert in 1979, I was invited to the reception before the concert, there was Waylon, The Crickets,Mrs Holley, Maria and many others, I have to admit that at that time I had no idea who he was,We shook hands and spoke briefly,It wasn't until later that I was told who he was and the conection with Buddy, I think that I was more interested in meeting everyone else.
I do remember that the concert wes pretty good, I'm sure that he mentioned Buddy when he introduced The Crickets, I think that he said that Jessi had just given birth.
I think that Tony Joe White opened the show.
