 I have recently held discussions with the youngest daughter of Bill Haley (Gina) who is currently in Australia touring with Phil Haley and The Comments.

Through a third party I was contacted.

We have broached the idea of my next book being on the very first Rock 'n' Roll tour to Australia in January 1957. Gina has told me her Mother also supports the idea.

Haley toured here with Freddie Bell and The Bellboys, Laverne Baker and the wonderful Big Joe Turner. It was a huge success.

Although I have no doubt I could easily fill another 400 pages as I did in my last two (2) books on Australian tours (Paul Anka, Jerry Lee Lewis and The Crickets in 1958 ----- plus Little Richard, Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran in late 1957) I have to ask the question:

Is there a market out there for a book like this?

I would like your thoughts please as writing a book like this takes about two (2) years and at a fairly high cost so I need to know, if indeed, there is a need (sorry about that -- lol).

Is Bill Haley still well known in the US?
