In reply to: Richard K. Branton 's message, "Wishing" on Tue October 23, 2018 04:26:14

The dominant for 'Wishing' is actually the key of E. It starts with a run up from E to A, goes to B7, before going back to the dominant chord (E). It's an interesting way of doing things for sure. What throws 'Wishing' on it's head is the Db minor chord which gets thrown in there. The bridge is similar in chord structure to 'Everyday'. I can't think of any other songs off the top of my head that do this, but I am sure there are others out there. It wouldn't surprise me if there is something in The Beatles catalogue - might be worth looking there?
