I was 7 years old when The Buddy Holly Syory Lp came out. My brother was 16 and he was a big Holly fan.and bought the Lp when it came out. He also bought The Buddy Holly Story Volume 11 when it came out. I heard a lot of both LPs on our big Zenith Hi-Fi in the late 50's/early 1960's.
I remember liking Vol.11 better-I had no idea those songs were put together from the apartment tapes.
I think that's why I prefer the Hansen versions better- I didn't hear the Fireballs version untill much later.
