Hi Oystein,
Sadly, Lou never quite caught on with the record buying audience of the late 1950's, early 1960's. Which is a shame, because he had a nice voice which is amply on display in his rendition of Holly's "Stay Close To Me". He was an interesting hybrid....He combined rock'n'roll with his true love, pop music/big band. He was also a song writer of some note, having some of his work covered by the likes of Al Martino and Teddy Randazzo. Perhaps one of these days a specialty label such as Bear Family or Rollercoaster might put out a CD release of some of this long neglected artists' released and unreleased material (of which there is quite a bit...He was an incessant recorder of his own music, much like Buddy Holly)? It's long overdue...
