Now I know this is about a musical Icon, however, the storyboard scene of "Boppers Wedding" seems to elude to this film being a musical. I like musicals however I feel this is the wrong format for this film. It is possible to make a film about a musician without making a song out of every scene. Look at Labamba, BH Story, Walk the Line etc. I think musical scenes that are only in there to fit the lyrics are silly take the scene from Great Balls of Fire where Jerry Lee pulls up to the high school and High school Confidential is playing on the radio and all of sudden the whole school is dancing. Lame.
