The board is now "defering to me" on this one"? Being so honored, by Bob, I now feel compelled to post my opinion. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, because of pure luck being associated with BH in the early years along with having some measure of talent, Allison does deserve to be among the Top 100 R&R drummers but #3? Gimmie a break! Since there is not enough room to list them all here's a few that blows him away: John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Hal Blaine (session player on hundreds of hit records), Al Jackson (MG's) Stax Records Memphis, Phil Collins, Ringo Starr, Alex Van Halen, Ginger Baker (Cream), Mitch Mitchel (Jimi Henrix), Earl Palmer (session player), Neil Peart (Rush), Keith Moon (The Who), Don Henley (Eagles) etc. etc. with Allison falling in around #99. Please don't ask me my opinion of West Texas' most talented drummer...as you won't like my answer.
