Top session drummers at Randy Wood's Dot Records. Just a reminder, Teddy Boy, that it was common practice, in the 50's, for white artists to cover R&B hits. Ricky's first recording was "I'm Walking" (Fats) performed on the Ozzie & Harriet TV Show. And The King of R&R, Elvis? Recorded Arthur Crudup's (Big Mama Thorton) "That's All Right (Mama)". Pat Boone's place in Rock & Roll history is solidified whether he's inducted into the Hall or not by the fact he was never off the charts from 1955 to 1959. In 1956 Elvis Presley opened for Pat Boone in Cleveland. He was raised in Denton, Texas meeting Roy Orbison & The Teen Kings at North Texas College.
